Nothing against the ECNL, but won't most clubs be looking to join DA as opposed to ECNL?

Wonder why interatlanta hasn’t gotten in the game. Seems like they could have some impact being an in town team and probably one of the few clubs actually in the city of Atlanta

I was told IAFC applied for ECNL for either this fall or 2019, I think to coincide with their new home park being built down off I-20. They have a solid growth plan and with their numbers right now they’re in no rush to rock the boat.

I have heard that Tophat controls ECNL in the south. I believe TG is on the board, and doubt they will want more clubs in Atlanta

Not sure your tone of voice here and that is the trouble with these boards. My impression of Inter-Atlanta is that they are not at all inner city kids. I dont know if others feel different. I also read Soccerfan30's comment as more of a "no thank you, our organization has already gone through a merger and is now huge with all the headaches that come with having a huge club, and we don't need another merger and another soccer culture to absorb right now" rather than snubbing their nose at the quality of people or play at Inter. Soccer seems to me in my estimation more cross cultural than most sports simply because all you need to play is a ball

My message wasn't a slight to IAFC or their players, I know a number of their coaches personally, they serve their community very well. I just dont think we need another mega merger, especially one that isn't in close proximity to each other.
