Maybe - will depend on the condition of the roads in the morning. It's supposed to get above Freezing so hopefully things will melt away and dry up. Big question - what about this weekend's local tournaments? The fields may still be saturated. Concorde tournament is all over the place - from GSA to GA Soccer Park by the airport. Will the stereotype hold up - Concorde cancels and keeps half the money?

Supposed to get rain on Friday on top of already saturated fields. The fields this past weekend were decent but they all looked right at their breaking point as far as water goes. Allen Creek was pretty good and Boundary Waters also was ok but there were some ruts in the fields. Mud Creek looked as bad as I've even seen those fields with many ruts. Evidently Noonday Park was unplayable as all games there were rescheduled. Lots of melting snow, sleet, ice and then more rain on top of it might just do them in but anything can happen I guess.

my kid is supposed to go to b'ham this weekend for vestavia. its on turf, i'm assuming it will be played. last year they played with no problems and concorde cancelled (of course).
will Greg B be the bigger man for once in his life and give folks a full refund like NSA. bottom line -- in the atl, you have to get insurance now that the precedent has been set for full refunds.

We're headed to Gainesville FL for the Gator Showcase this weekend. I think the roads will be OK by noonish tomorrow - once we get past Macon, I'll be thrilled to get out of this wintery mess! Birmingham should be on - those are gorgeous fields - we were there pre-season when the turf can get hot - perfect weather for it now!
I will bet anything Concorde cancels and that they hold to the 50% refund trend. I hope if Concorde does this again that people will finally stay away from that tournament. They've taken our teams' money too many times - no way will we ever go back!

Game on! I think the roads will be fine. They are giving refunds, though, for those that can't make it. Looking forward to it!

good game last night!! first half was a little bit slow and boring, 2nd half was fun to watch. not a bad crowd, it was strange, most people were sitting on the opposite site then the benches. i'm assuming the tickets on the bench side were more expensive? they said just over 16,000 was there. not sure if that many were there.
