From the travelling I've done the past 4 academy seasons I would rank. Obviously everyone will have differing opinions based off of where they live, driving distance, do you prefer turf access to avoid rain outs ...
1. Fowler Park 2. Allen Creek Soccer Complex 3. Matt Community Soccer Park 4. Tophat Buckhead Complex 5. NASA Park 6. Franklin Gateway 7. Georgia Soccer Park (they lose a point for being annoying and charging for parking)
99th. place Lovejoy, I despise the drive and the surrounding area

This one is not local but I like the MESA complex in SC. Traffic can be an issue if games are ending at the same time but wow what a nice complex for tournaments.
Allen Creek is another nice park for tournaments. Lots of nice grass fields and plenty of parking.
A bit selfish but I like the trees and gazebo at Webb Bridge so parents have shade during games (and the refs probably like that parents are somewhat removed from the field!).
Chiefs did a nice job improving the fields over the years but having a fence so close to the bigger field scares me. We’ve seen a couple tackles into fence posts. On the plus side the fence puts some space between the refs and the parents.
The best fields I’ve seen lately are high school stadiums. Gwinnett in particular must put a ton of money into stadiums. There are usually enough practice fields at the schools to save the stadium fields for games. Norcross has a video screen that probably cost more than a lot of soccer clubs’ annual budgets!

- LakePointe - Allen Creek Complex - Fowler Park - Webb Bridge(parents, refs to their spots) - Franklin Gateway(not enough fields) - NASA Park(Horrible parking lots) - AU Training Grounds(Not enough parking, security hawking you) - Georgia Soccer Park(hate paying to park) - Rabbit Hill(Sandlots)
Best overrall soccer park I've personally been to is the FC Dallas Soccer complex in Frisco/Dallas Texas.

Brain is mush right now -- but I think Metro North field 1 is one of the best fields in the city to play on. Viewing a game from the hill is great also. Ball also relatively stays close to the field when it goes out of bounds, and the surface is spot on!

One little detail I would throw in about this is...is it your favorite to play matches or as a training facility? Many stated Allen Creek as a favorite. It is a nice facility with well-maintained grass fields and ample parking. There are two entrances so easy to get in and out. Decent restroom facilities. Concessions often open. Some fields have hills upon which to get a bird's eye view and one good size set of bleachers. Overall, a great facility for matches. However, this spring season with all of the rain, the fields were closed almost every day in February for training. Yikes! The messages were often worded with exasperation and apologies because it is not a complex that is owned by LSA so they were getting blamed by parents, but they had no control over the field closures. Imagine if your child had almost no outdoor training sessions for a month!
I agree on the annoying trend of places to make you pay to park. Someone voted Lakepoint as a favorite and they charge to park as well.
I suppose it is also when you visit. We had terrible fields at Mt. Carmel for a tournament this February. They were dirt and mud with little grass.
A few years ago Rabbit Hill was nice, but it is terrible now. All of the NASA fields I have been to flood easily. Tophat Buckhead floods too.
My favorite to play matches: Fowler Allen Creek McCurry Park Cherokee Impact
My whole issue is the consistency of the playing surface whether turf or grass. Grass is great, but not when there are divots or mudpits.
(My kids haven't gone to Lakepoint or Georgia Park yet, but have watched others on those fields...nice)

SSA just had Mud Creek finished converting to all TURF. DA teams will train immediately twice a week along with Franklin Gateway. They are looking to move games as well. I have not seen it close up but from the road it looks huge. It has to be at least 3-5 large (11V11) playing fields. This along with Lakepointe, Franklin Gateway, Atlanta United, Fowler Park will be a nice back up due to weather. Facilities is big these days with Georgia weather :-)

Wow had no idea SSA turfed the creek of Mud! So both SSA and NASA/Hattop use Franklin Gateway? As far as I know, SSA and NASA along with a Lacrosse travel team out of Marietta is them for practice during the week and also can use the for games. Tournaments have been played there and I believe that the YMCA of Marietta is using it as well. I was told that Atlanta United younger teams will also be training there as well.

Only three full size Fields were turfed at Mudcreek, rest remained grass. Franklin Gateway is City owned so no one club has exclusive access, they all have to rent (at a high rate) to use if they’re not affliated with the City of Marietta which SSA and NASA are not. Atl United gets first rights to it since it was built as part of the training ground agreement.
