Anyone have experience with this well known tourney?
How does it compare to the Dallas cup or the Jefferson Cup?

Schwan’s USA Cup is amazing. I use to live in Minnie and would love to go watch the games. I mean 54 FULL SIZE FIELDS! You’ve got 1000+ teams in it yearly. The National Sports Center in Blaine is amazing. All those fields and the stadium together is what every state wishes they had. It’s an unbelievable experience as a spectator and everyone I knew that went as a player loved it. It’s one of those things that if you have an opportunity you should go. And anyone that has never heard of it, is obviously a newbie to soccer. 🤦🏻♂️

Sorry have never heard of this well known tournament. Is it local? No wonder we have never heard of it, because it’s in Minnesota. I’m definitely a “Soccer Newbie” 😃

I had never heard of it either. It definitely looks like a good "experience" tournament. But if you look at the results from 2017, I would not say the competition is comparable to Dallas Cup or Jefferson Cup. Middle of July is tough too. New teams will not have even practiced. You would have to register now before you even have confirmation of your team...

Not sure what it's like now, but I was there about 11 years ago. Well run. Top level competition. Overall a good experience. If you are lucky you will get to play an international side or two. Venue/hotels pretty close to Mall of America.

Nothing feels better than stepping off a plane in that part od the country during summer. I used to play Ultimate up there and it was like heaven with the low humidity.

There are great facilities, a professional staff, and unmatched organization - funded by a huge entry fee. The name (USA Cup) attracts a bunch of intl. teams, but half or more of the entrants are Minnesota teams - mostly high-level "rec" teams. There are no "high-level" USA teams.
