For now -- I created a NEW sub board above for champions league posts - Southern Club Champions League
I tried to search and find relevant posts and moved them there for now.
We seem to have alot of redundant posts, and thought it was a good idea --
PLEASE POST ALL BIG 6, SOUTHERN CHAMPTIONS LEAGUE CONTENT ABOVE!
Thanks!!!!

good idea, sorry it has dominated your forum recently no worries, just thought it needed to be centralized --- and good thing is folks have opinions. If members do not like the sub board let me know, but it makes it easier for folks to read through earlier posts/threads etc

Why would they announce the details before truouts?

Why would they announce the details before truouts? They’re so many different avenues at multiple clubs to take and you tryout for those teams knowing what’s available for the upcoming season. If they didn’t tell you until after you signed up, wouldn’t you be a little upset, like false advertising for sure. Say you tryout for something like RPL. You make the team but the club decides to stay in Classic/Athena or in this case pulll out of RPL? You would feel cheated. I would Feel cheated for sure.

No I understand all that coming from the parents pov. But I have read many threads of parents complaining about teams claiming to be in a certain league before tryouts and then finding out after tryouts that their team did not in fact qualify for the higher league. Why would the coaches tell players they are in this new league unless of course the team was playing like Athena B or Classic 2. This may be called the champions league but there are no champions playing in it.

What I am trying to say is that the best players will probably head for the hills. Why give them advanced notice?

The announcement will go something like this:
**UEFA Champions League Music playing with Donald Trump making the announcement**
You've seen Lewandowski, Ronaldo, Salah carry their teams to the Semi-Final. Now prepare yourself for the next generation of household names. MaryJane from Tophat thirds, MaryJo from Concorde thirds, and MaryRose from the prestigious GSA seconds will do battle in the Southern Clubs Champions League. Big-time coaches, big-time players, and big-time parents with big-time checkbooks. This will be BIG-TIME!

Hard to get used to the sub board and checking 2 board etc -- might be a good feature to use for "hot" topics and should have handled other topics in this manner and then when the fuel dies downs, ship the content back to the regular board.
We will see....

This is good, sub boards will help historical posts and seeing what was said before, especially if you weren’t a part of the post at the crucial time like tomorrow they should announce the SCCL. We shall see. We can look back later and laugh.
I see a lot more people are getting the benefits for this blog. I tell people all the time that there is a soccer blog (http://gasoccerforum.com) full of great information. Not a place to bash or name call but exchanging great information. Thank you for doing this!
