I agree. Atlanta has proven to be about the same...

i'm assuming they are banking on the latin population. its going to fail.
the only way a mls team is successful in atlanta is putting the team north of the city. its been discussed at nausea, but i just don't see people going downtown to watch soccer consistently. a lot also depends on the names on the team.

I agree, it will be too expensive to go downtown for many people. The Silverbacks draw fairly well, and they have almost no real publicity.

Hawks don't draw fans. Falcons only draw because of the league and 8 home games per year. Hockey crashed and burned. Braves rarely fill the place, are building a smaller Park.. This isn't a good sports town. Silverbacks should be the only soccer team in town to get promoted to MLS. Buying a team is contrary to what a club should be about, sorry Arthur Moneybags. Homegrown support should start small and grow into bigger leagues, but MLS is doing it wrong and won't ever consider another way. No risk.. No reward. This guy argues it far better than I.. mobile.twitter.com/soccerreform
