So, rehash an old subject on the recent news that it appears ATL will be awarded a MLS franchise... www.ajc.com/news/sports/pro-sports/mls-is-coming-to-atlanta/nfSzm/This will have a huge impact on youth soccer in the city. Do they form their own you soccer club and get DA? Not sure if its that simple for DA, but from what i've heard 2 clubs in the atlanta area is already enough. Do they take over an existing club or partner with a single club? Going to be an interesting 3 years, i'm assuming the impact will be soon though. I'm assuming you have to put a training facility in north atlanta, your looking at nasa, the new combined ufa, ssa, afu or concorde. or is interatlanta in the perfect location, intercity, down the street from downtown. field space would be an issue, but they could turn their arizona fields into a real facility (no clue who owns those fields) or does the silverbacks become the mls team..... edit: does it help the clubs that already wear Adidas? my guess, his deals with nike/adidas are year to year anyway vs long term contracts.

It will definitely be interesting to see how everything pans out. I hope that the Silverbacks stick around as I think they are doing a great job building a brand. They actually called our home last night to get us to come to their opening night. Nice to see they are working so hard to keep the momentum going that they created last year. Exciting times in the Atlanta Futbol!(one of my customers at work has told me to stop calling it soccer LOL)
