It's another spring break weekend of games. The schedule is pretty light again. In U13A, it's a weekend of intra-club games:
Saturday:
NASA Premier 0 - NASA Elite 1 - These two teams tied last season. Premier has hung on in A pretty well, especially with their tie against AFU. I suspect they know who to watch out for on Elite and will keep the game close.
Sunday:
GSA Red 0 - GSA Premier 4 - While I think the NASA game will be close, I don't think this one will be. Red has a few players who could easily play on Premier but the rest of their roster is not quite as strong. My guess is that Premier will move into a tie for first after this game.
Wednesday:
NASA Elite 1 - TH Gold 1 - TH has to feel better after winning their last couple games but they were probably a little too close for comfort. NASA Elite won't be as beatable as Norcross and GSA Red.
Athena B
Sunday:
TH 2 - NASA 0 - Looks like a double-header day for TH. It's probably been a challenge to fit in all the reschedules. I expected TH to be a little higher in the standings. This game against NASA should move them up a bit.
TH 1 - UFA 2 - Playing two when UFA will have fresh legs will make this game tougher for TH.
Macon 1 - Chiefs 0 - Going into the season I probably would have picked Chiefs to win most of their games. Not sure what to make of their poor start. Macon's been a bit more consistent so I'll go with them in this game. I see Chiefs on the list for State Cup. Interesting choice. Hopefully they can pick up a bunch of wins in the rest of their games. If not, State Cup may be one very expensive play-in game for them.
Wednesday:
Rush 0 - Roswell 2 - Roswell is also on the list for State Cup. They have to feel vindicated by doing well so far in B. I'd like to see them in State Cup. While I don't think they'll win, I think they'll do fine.
