LOL... Sounds like sour grapes for not being in SCCL and not having DA.

Just spitballing...why haven't the non-SCCL other clubs moved to create a competitor league to SCCL to exclude the SCCL clubs?
Ambush, AFC, AFU, CFC, IAFC, Impact, MOBA, Smyrna, Rush, and Santos could probably form a solid in-state league. They could even pull in much of the rest of GA Soccer to create an exclusionary promotion/relegation hierarchy. Rather than the come-one-come-all that is GA soccer. Would leave many of the teams at the big 5 below the SCCL just twiddling their thumbs.
I'm sure US Club Soccer would be happy to organize and run it.

Agree - we need a new elite league, could you imagine, if that really did happen.

Agree - we need a new elite league, could you imagine, if that really did happen. The smaller clubs could never pull it off. Too many egos in the room at one time. I mean just look at MOBA and AFC. Do you see those two getting into a room together to begin with?

Last I checked, there was going to be an SCCL 2, which may or may not also incorporate promotion/relegation. Does anyone know where that stands?

This is disingenuous at best, the top clubs offer higher levels of play, Smyrna's players have look at other options because the club doesn't offer top level soccer.

Nothing disingenuous in the post... very specific. They're talking about specifically having players at 10/11 years old selected to play for Atl Utd U12. They can demonstratively prove they have more 10/11 year old players selected than SSA.

Hmm so Smyrna players having a 10X better chance of playing Atl United Academy? Wonder if it has anything to do with the fact Smyrna is much closer to AUFC Academy then any other club. I’ve known plenty of kids from Dekalb, Gwinnett and even Athens that turned down offers to AUFC because the travel to practice wasn’t do able for kids that young. But in this day of negative ads that’s not a bad one.
Ps I dislike the SSA about as equal as Smyrna.

Yeah RM is now at SSA. Don't know his role. Much about nothing honestly. Such a small amount of players and they will all be one club in the next five years anyways how the trend is that everyone just merges now. Isn't there like a Concorde/SSA full merger coming next year?

Sorry but this seems extremely childish if it was in response to former director leaving.

Sorry but this seems extremely childish if it was in response to former director leaving. It is extremely childish and stupid. To me this looks worse on Smyrna for acting like that

One issue is these clubs cannot field teams in all age groups. For example in U17 girls, there are only AFC Gold and AFU who field a team in either NPL or NL (also CFC Red Star but that is out of the metro area). Sprinkle in a few more that are in Athena A. Not sure if such a league would do much to ‘get back’ at SCCL.

It was an epic exit from what i heard.... Spill the tea... Well.... What I heard happened was that JC was mad at him because Smyrna doesn't have enough games scheduled because the big 5 won't play them. He was asking him why and he told him that this is because of what happened last year and them trying to screw them with GA Soccer. So then JC was still pissed and said well what are you gonna do about it? And he said, Im gonna go work with them and left the meeting....

Well now Smyrna Soccer Club doesn’t even exist anymore. Hope some of those top kids move over to NTH but I think only one of them made the NTH DA team for this upcoming season and there were a bunch of them at tryouts. Maybe they will move to SSA instead?

So the reason why Smyrna didn't have enough games scheduled was because the big 5 won't play them... and that was because Smyrna and other clubs (Impact, Inter, etc) decided to go to Ga Soccer and try to have them excluded from State Cup and promotion to NL. So one of the takeaways is that the big 5 is getting revenge by not playing those clubs?

I was told by a DOC at one of those smaller clubs that would be the opposite of what they want. That the never wanted to see the new SCCL league begin, and that they would be working on addressing issues with Ga Soccer so that hopefully the big 5 would come back into the fold. They would like to see if they could bring those teams back under one umbrella. Ga Soccer even went and signed the first ever League Commissioner to help create a better overall environment for everyone.
