Quick question...what's the rule in youth soccer as far as doing a quick catch and drop like what is done in this video? I'm not really in favor of it but I do understand that it allows the play to be more faster pace just like how you can do the same thing in hockey.

Yes, Not sure what you are referring to jack...Di Maria takes ball off chest and hits great volley cross into CR7...Thought you might have been referring to a quick restart so i went and looked at more extended video, but that is not part of play... But what I did see in more extended video is CR7's reaction. He spun around trying to see what happened. Then looked back again. He had no idea the ball went in. It took him a few seconds to register that he had scored. No celebration. Go back and get play restarted. He almost looked like he was in shock just a little bit, if it is possible for someone to be a little shocked.

Sorry guys...my mistake. My wife had told me that she had read somewhere that it was a legal move in some leagues and in the video it really looked to me like Di Maria used his hands. I'll break out the dunce cap and sit in the corner now with the FIFA rulebook. Thinking I might need to read it a bit further. LOL
