How many girls or young women do you know are interested in watching profesional soccer on TV in their spare time. I do not mean World Cup or Olympics. Just naturaly are inclined to watch Liga or EPL in sparw time? After 8 or so years of youth soccer I only know 2.

I’d say half of my girls from 02s, 04s, 05s, and 07s watch EPL, Champions League, USWNT, and both World Cups. Luckily I have taught them that the MLS is trash soccer so almost none watch or follow that. Most try to follow the NWSL too during the summer, but with it being a sexist world following women’s soccer is tough due to lack of availability.

I honestly don’t watch much NWSL mostly because of accessibility and it’s not something I would stumble upon while on the net or tube. How does NWSL quality compare to the other international leagues? (I’m also somewhat a snob, when it comes to MLS I’ll only really watch Atlanta united or maybe LA or DC united )

Mine is Bundesliga & Series A fan, not so much EPL. She watches at least 2-3 a weekend. Sometimes she puts recordings on as background noise when she is doing homework during the week.

My children watch pro soccer, but they are picky about the teams. They will watch AU, USWNT, some EPL (Chelsea mainly), Barcelona. They watch Champions League and Europa League when it gets toward the end or if it involves their teams. I agree with the annoying lack of access to NWSL. I was looking through my guide yesterday and saw Sky Blue vs Washington Spirit. I got excited and when it was time I turned it on. However it was blacked out despite the fact that the other programming on the channel before and after worked just fine. This has happened to me more than once.

She doesn’t watch weekly games but definitely looks up highlights weekly and probably watches one or two matches a month. Definitely watches favorite players more than teams.
Besides World Cup and Olympics ... National friendlies (US, Brazil, England) Atlanta United Juventus NWSL (courage, pride, dash) Manchester City Women Lyons Women NCAA College Cup

I guess it’s like MLS to the Europeans but the girls love it because they see more of their favorite USWNT players plus it’s their game and not the boys. Access is always tough, I know a few would of the Middle Schoolers would try and get together on Saturdays when Lifetime would play their match of the week stuff.

NBC Sports adds FA Women's Super League to English soccer offerings by PAUL KENNEDY NBC Sports will carry the FA Women’s Super League for the first time this season. NBC Sports, which has carried the English Premier League since 2013, will carry 50 WSL matches across NBC Sports platforms, including at least 12 matches on NBCSN. The first game on NBCSN will be Sunday's match between Manchester United and defending champions Chelsea. This weekend’s action kicks off on Saturday with promoted Aston Villa against Manchester City live on the NBC Sports app and NBCSports.com. Manchester City features 2019 U.S. world champions Rose Lavelle and Sam Mewis. U.S. rights to the WSL were acquired by U.S. Atalanta Media, which has moved into women's soccer with the hope of capitalizing on its growing interest. Two massive derbies in English Football this weekend. The first one on Saturday is the venerable Manchester Derby and the next day is the NW. London Derby between Chelsea and Arsenal. Unlike the EPL games, NBC is finally putting the games on regular, albeit paid NBCSN and Universo channels. Great games to watch of the female players, with a few of the World Cup winning USWNT players peppered in to tie in for our girls(and boys) to watch and support ...
How To Watch Women's Manchester and NW.London Derbies In U.S. TV: NBCSN, Universo
The biggest match of the weekend is the showdown between Tobin Heath, Christen Press and Manchester United against Rose Lavelle, Sam Mewis and Manchester City. United is coming off a stunning 1-0 win over Arsenal to go top of the table for the first time. City has started the season a bit slowly (11 points from six matches) but has already claimed one trophy this year (the recently finished 2020 FA Cup) and is coming off an 8-1 pasting of Bristol City.
The following day, two other title hopefuls battle for London supremacy (sorry Alex Morgan fans, Tottenham still stinks). Arsenal had scored 29 goals in its first five games before being blanked by the Red Devils while third-place Chelsea boasts arguably the world’s two best attackers in Sam Kerr and Pernille Harder. This game will not end 0-0.
