What is the process for how U14 teams will move to R3PL in the spring? We've heard that the top 3 or 4 teams in Classic 1 would move up. I'm guessing this would greatly affect the already subjective promotion and relegation process between the classic levels in U14.

The top 2 or 4 teams in Classic I and Athena A will be offered a spot in R3PL East for the Spring. Despite your obvious dislike for the promotion/relegation system, I would think it highly unlikely that there are any Classic 2 teams capable of finishing in one of those spots. If there is such a team, they might not get in for the spring, but they can prove themselves by getting to the State Cup final and thus securing a place for next fall.
So far, no team has done that.

Oh no, I don't necessarily dislike the promotion/relegation system. I was just pointing out that the final say would be Ga Soccer's on the movement between all of the classic levels, as opposed to the previous "2 up, 2 down" rule. That rule was probably dismissed because of all the confusion as to how to address when there are 2 brackets for the same classic level (e.g. east and west, red and blue).
My point was that the top x teams in Classic 1 and Athena A would get a change to go to R3PL. Let's say it was 4. Then how will Ga Soccer address the 2 or 3 teams that would have normally been relegated to Classic 2? Would they still get relegated or just promote the top 4 teams in Classic 2? And how would this trickle down to the other levels? I guess I could take some time and look through the past seasons of Classic and R3PL...just didn't know if someone had first-hand experience.

I think that's a fantastic question, and I wonder the same thing. I don't know if looking into the past will provide any insight, as (on the boys side) they have completely changed how promotion/relegation is done as of the last year.
