Just got a call from a mom saying the majority of the team has left and apparently the team is disbanding. I gave her some contacts but my kids have only played NTH so not very well networked. If anyone knows of 03 girls teams looking for Defenders and/or Mids - can you share here or pm me to pass along?

If anyone knows of 03 girls teams looking for Defenders and/or Mids - can you share here or pm me to pass along? I know some clubs offer individual and/or supplemental tryouts sometimes. Cherokee Impact is close by Ga. Rush (approximately 15-20 minutes between each park) and they may need some players. I heard after tryouts, they were combining age groups due to numbers. Something like having an 01/02 team and an 02/03 team. You could always give them a call to confirm and see if they would offer a supplemental tryout for some players. I've said on this forum before that those two clubs should combine, but with Rush being national and the leadership that's at Impact, that won't ever happen. |

Wow that sucks. I’ve been there though. I wonder if this is the team that Kirby was suppose to take over??

This a bummer for the young athletes on that team. I do hope they land somewhere they can keep at the beautiful sport.
On a side note, sounds like Kirby (Girls Director of Coaching) is getting a bit of what they call a baptism by fire. Perhaps a bit of karma for "committing" to take over the DDYSC 04/05 Elite girls team for the 2019/20 season (undefeated Fall 2018 season in Athena B, likely promotion to A), and then weeks later jumping ship to Ga Rush? Who knows.
I hope for the sake of the players that she can right that ship!

I believe Tophat are doing a tryout for all the girls from Rush on Tuesday.
