Must watch tv: Not sure how else to watch it yet. USA set to face Ecuador today in FIFA U-20 World Cup quarterfinals (11:30 a.m. ET on FOX Sports 2)

Another U20 World Cup, another quarterfinal exit. This team was supposed to be generational. If that is the next generation of USMNT, we are going to have a long dark period.

Did you WATCH any of the games? The U20 squad play a very different brand of soccer (thanks to Tab Ramos) and would likely crush the senior team. Mendez, Weah, and Soto were standouts. Not to mention others like Llanez, Ledezma, Servania, and Richards showed serious potential to be the future. Bello will be a nice fit to this group when healthy. IF the USMNT could get a real coach (and not one that seems to be an advertisement for the MLS) then we may make some noise in the coming years. Not sure about winning WCs...but look how other countries with much more soccer culture have also failed in that front.

pretty interesting top scorers list for the u20s - Brek and Freddy -- freddy was like a lifetime member of the 20s.... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_men's_national_under-20_soccer_team Have to assume Ramos will be getting a full time gig elsewhere as a head coach, and he is one of the few shining beacons of US youth soccer, I guess him and Raphael Wicky

Yes, I watched the games and there were certainly some good players and some good plays. I saw them play well against Nigeria and France but I also saw them lose to Ukraine and need until the 76th minute to score against Qatar. I also saw them lose to Ecuador. Again, not the results you would expect from a generational team.

Maybe Tab should have been named to the men's team instead? I know I know, too soon but after the two games we just saw in the last week, I had to say it.

Ukraine U20s are in the final, so I’m not upset with our performance in that game.
You do have a point vs Qatar. We looked like crap and everyone said as much. That the public and the media was upset with the game DESPITE the result is a great sign!

I don’t know about a robbery but that was a golazo for sure.
