Going to be moving to area next May for work. Have a 2006 girl that currently plays 2005 DA. Is it hard to make a 2006 girls DA or ECNL team in the Atlanta area? Any info or insight would be appreciated, Thanks

Make sure to look on team webpages and attend all ID camps ahead of time actual tryouts. Personally I would find the emails for the DA coaches who will be coaching your players age group and introduce yourself ahead of time. Also have your current DA Coach email the new potential coach and give a recommendation. Only 2 DA teams on girls side so almost impossible to crack. If not DA your player should be able to find a very good ecnl team depending on where you will be living as Atlanta traffic for practice is definitely something to consider

You're coming around the timeframe for tryouts. I'm sure your current DA coach could make a call or two. If she's good enough, she'll get on a team whether it's DA or ECNL.

As a current DA player, she'll go right to the DA field at tryouts. From there it's up to her.
Coming mid-season, have current coach contact new coach for intro and evaluation.

Any info or insight would be appreciated, Thanks What club is your daughter at? What position? If your daughter is good enough, nothing is impossible for DA nor ECNL. It sounds like she will be just fine if she is playing up in DA. Agreed on finding out the top 06 teams coaches in GA and speaking to them to see who would be the best fit for your daughter. 06 age group in GA very strong. I would definitely recommend looking into ECNL due to more ECNL clubs in GA than DA.

If I had a dime for each time I read ...
“XXX age group in GA is very strong. I would definitely recommend looking into LOWER LEAGUE due to INSERT REASON OF CHOICE.”
...in this forum, I would be able to buy my kid a spare set of cleats for rainy days.

Any info or insight would be appreciated, Thanks Research the coaches, visit the clubs and watch the trainings. Some people love DA some love ECNL, she needs to love her coach, club and teammates. At the end of the day, those are the memories she will take with her. Honestly, it wouldn't be hard to get your daughter invited to a training if you are in town prior to May. Just come back here when you do and ask, and someone will put you in touch

Have a friend who is moving their DA kid to another state and they called ahead of time and did training sessions with all 5 teams they considered (4 DA clubs and 1 ECNL club). Kid got a spot at all of them and then made her choice.
I suggest you do something similar. Since you mentioned TH and UFA DA and Concorde ECNL then start there. Where you are going to live matters also. I am SURE that all 3 clubs will let your kid train with their 06 team to see if she would be a good fit. She can see if she likes the training, the coach and the teammates. There is no guarantee that the coach and teammates won't change a bit or a lot, but at least you will have a decent idea where you want to go for tryouts.
Good luck!

If you want to give your child a fair chance and get an idea of the teams and coaches you should consider doing training sessions at some point during the year with each of the teams. I know TH, CF, and others bring have had train in advance of any tryout. You will see this especially around winter break when school is out. In addition, his/her current club should be willing to make a call to any of the clubs. Good luck!
