Frogs are out. US is in. Well played game. That is how you park the bus successfully. Well done Rapinoe. Dunn who was doubted so much pre game did well against their speedster.

A win is a win, who would of thought USWNT would park the bus. European teams are catching up with skills and tactical aspects of the game. USA seems to rely of speed, athleticism, and power. I would not doubt this would be the last World Cup USWNT would win and be like the men's side moving forward. All in all, the system is broken.

People conveniently forget that Crystal Dunn was ACC DEFENSIVE player of the year in addition to being ACC offensive player of the year. She can be a capable defender.

The fact that the rest of the world is getting better is not a bad thing. This actually opens up opportunities for women to play abroad...US women. The greater support for pro women's soccer in other countries is good. The USWNT will be fine. The system is not broken. Will they win every World Cup? No. Let's not forget that they went from 1999 to 2015 without winning too. They will remain a part of the Elite. Also we have plenty of players who do not rely on speed, power or athleticism to any greater degree than other countries. Rose Lavelle, Mal Pugh, Tobin Heath, Lindsay Horan are all technically gifted players.

I am spoiled and used to the domination of USWNT in the past. I am still shocked when I saw Jill Ellis on television yell out the formation of 5-4-1, indicating to park the bus.

Really nice thinking always for women.
The greater support for pro women's soccer in other countries is good.
So always proud that
