They played phenomenal.
Second half and extra time was excellent. Hats off to the boys.
Carlson, Blanton and Oliver were fantastic. Studs. Keeper came up huge as well.
Tough loss for sure - but damn they looked very good!!!!
If you didn't watch, at least go back and watch the extra time and pks. -

After watching that game, I'm certain that UFA and Concorde both have equal if not better talent at the 02 level. If those 2 teams were combined they would put the N in Nasty. The UFA kids who made the move over there last year were fantastic last night. The kid cut or let go or who moved on from Atlanta United was truly special as well. Really impressed me and they showed they can play some nice soccer with some great combination play. Well done Concorde. Well done UFA and again lastly, one last time, well done Concorde -- great run, and not build on this. Somebody had said this before, I think it was Soccerhouse -- who would have thought that AU rolls into town, takes all the so called top players from the city, the south and even concorde, yet Concorde has found a way to get better! I think concorde's boys are stronger then they ever have been. How, no idea, but shows ya that the man in charge at AU's academy is not all powerful and he even the great coaches still struggle to identify players. Yes, excuses will come for the MLS sides etc, but man hats off the boys in black from concorde and the coaching staff!!!!

Man CF played great. Tough loss. Yes Chase left Atl because they don’t value education. When his parents refused to move him to that River school or wherever they recommend their players attend school and TA stopped playing him. He left mid season and went to CF last year. 1st full year at CF and he balled out. Proud of that kid and parents for doing what was best for their kid. Goes to private school and wants to finish there. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

Makes me so sad they lost in PKs. I watched the entire game and truly thought Concorde was the better team. They should be very proud - what a huge accomplishment!

Watched the 18/19 game prior to the CF game and I have to say that both of those 16/17 finalists could have given the 18/19 teams a run for their money. I too thought that CF was the better team. I watched the PKs a couple of times and felt like on both of the Solar saves that the keeper came off his line extremely early, especially on the 2nd save.

I thought the quality of soccer with the 18/19 yr olds was a different level than the 16/17's. Movement without the ball, tiki tak when close and Crisp European passes between two well skilled teams was nice to watch.
Hat's off to Concorde, They continue to bring in some nice talent at all ages. Was told a long ago, CF is not a development club, a destination club.

Georgia boys soccer got a huge boost over the past month from both of Concorde’s national finalist (u17 DA / u19 ECNL) and UFA’s u17 DA team winning the conference and a quarterfinal postseason run. Has boys soccer in Georgia ever had three teams finish that strong, at the highest levels of u17/19 age group? They all had great seasons at the highest levels of competition and deserve recognition without petty club rivalry comments (soccerguru).

Congrats to this group of boys from Concorde! Way to represent the state of Georgia, more local teams will be competing at Nationals the next few weeks in Colorado. Let's keep up the good run of play for our youth players.

chill soccerpsycho, there was nothing petty about my comments. I know many boys/girls on all the DA teams and I couldn't be more proud of the teams/players many clubs are putting on the field from GA. It shows the level of talent in the ATL area.

In my constantly growing old age.....I"m becoming more and more of a fan of Georgia soccer teams being successful in the post season and regular season. Both UFA and Concorde way exceeded expectations this season and both obviously should be proud of their seasons.
Lets hope both clubs take advantage of the new flexibility of adding games outside of DA. Always think about what if, man, imagine if those 3-5 kids stayed at UFA, wow that team would have been special for sure. Granted circumstances then completely change, but their is something special about that GA United 02 class that keeps on pushing forward -- the kids all play with a chip on their shoulder like they have something to prove. Then toss in a handful of kids let go from Atlanta United, and you have a group of kids that really are quality players and push the envelope. Their might not be any homegrown quality talent on UFA/Concorde, but i'd take those kids any day of the week.

I'm not sure on the 03 Girls but the National Cup schedule says "UFA Norcross". My mistake, the Forsyth team that's out there its the 06G and 02G team.
