Has this ever happened in the history of the sport (on a full size pitch)

In the whole history? Hmmm... I’m going to say yes. But on a good two bounce and on a field at the closer to the minimums.
Though I’ve seen GKs come close a lot more in 9v9 games.
Someone remind me, I know you can’t have a throw-in go directly into the goal without touching another player but what’s the penalty if it happens? Is it a goal kick as well?

My summer referee update should be very interesting. Significant changes...
This particular one would have ruined many of the MISL games I attended in my teens. Whenever teams were losing they’d “pull the goalie” (hockey style) and it was exciting as hell when the keeper would come up with the ball and attempt to throw it into an open net 70 yards away.

Same as an IDK that isn’t touched (again) before it enters the goal.

To be completely honest I thought this was already a rule since throw-ins can not score a goal, but I guess the arm is legal to the keeper inside the 18 it makes sense that it was a valid goal. I have seen in the younger ages a throw go in the goal. I have seen punts go in the goal at younger than 11v11 fields as well. I assume punts still are valid and legal?

the IFAB app is actually pretty nice.
My guess its also for around the world, where clubs say they have a true full size pitch, but then its like NYFC and its really tiny!
I think I have also seen it in small sided soccer, 6x6. We once played 6x6 on a field where the 18 I swear was a full size 18 on a 6v6 size field! It basically took up the entire half!

Their new site and I guess eventual registration system is a cluster. All the clubs putting out the links to find recert and initial certification classes. You click on the link and nothing but a blank blue webpage on US Soccer's site. Can't even register and make a profile. Can't view the schedule of classes. I don't think it is just me either.
Site is obviously not ready for primetime.

A throw-in, indirect kick or goal kick which go untouched into an opponent's goal results in a goal kick for the opponent. Any of these into your own goal result in a corner kick for your opponent.

In all seriousness, does anyone know if the new rule about not having to wait for the ball to outside the box before touching it? Is that being implemented at all levels/age groups?

In all seriousness, does anyone know if the new rule about not having to wait for the ball to outside the box before touching it? Is that being implemented at all levels/age groups? I think it would be dependent on GA Soccer and what Individual Clubs have as far as rules go, but I would assume yes, but that does pose a bit of a problem with "18's" that truly aren't 18 yards because the pitch is a 5v5, 7v7, or 9v9 field as far as defenders being close goes. But at least in U8-U11 there are build-out lines that would prevent defenders from cheating up. U12 would really be the only pitch that might have a bit of a problem since it is a 9v9 field. I doubt it will be a very big problem though.

Please correct me with proper rule citation if I am wrong.
