Just for clarification, are these just the kids invited to regional camp or the whole Georgia teams? Is this part of "region camp" and thus do you have to pay or is this matches against other states?

These are kids that were invited to regional camp. An oraclesfriend this is youth soccer so unfortunately there is a cost and from my understanding there are 10 states being represented at this camp This is my first time being involved so I am sure someone can better explain

From what I understand, there are four regions in the USA. “We are the South Region, comprising FL, SC, NC, GA, TN, AL, MS, LA, STx, NTx, OK, and AR.”

Was told we tied against Florida 1-1. Heard Florida's goal was because of a bad play by the goalie. I will yell at her when she gets home. LOL

Nah. Field players screw up multiple times each game. GK mistakes are just more noticeable and often have more disappointing/serious outcomes. Each goal that an opponent makes is a result of multiple errors from numerous players. Chin up, Keep! It’s a team game, after all. Get ‘em next time!

Georgia girls get back on track. Beat SC 3-0. Sounds like the girls have thing turned around and will start showing what Georgia soccer can deliver.

My girl made the ODP region pool. Now what happens? Is there a national pool she can tryout for during the year?

If she stayed over. she will likely have opportunities to play. If she just made pool not likely. It is a nice accomplishment though. I speak from experience of having kid make Region pool.

My girl made the ODP region pool. Now what happens? Is there a national pool she can tryout for during the year? Congrats to your daughter! I heard that they are changing the format of ODP a little this year. There were no holdovers for the 02/03 age group. 18 will be chosen (no further tryouts) for the interregional in November, and 24 for a national training center in conjunction with US Soccer. How they choose, I do not know. Quite a few of the girls from Georgia that made the pool this year were on last year’s interregional squad.

So no international trip this year? And any details on the NTC and what will be done there for those selected?

The way that it worked in the past. A number of girls make the pool, and then a select group makes the team. Girls don't have holdovers like the boys do. You can tell who is on the regional team on the last day, they have the one stronger team.
Trips, camps and event info will be posted online, and if your kid is chosen as a player or an alternate you will get an official invitation. You can then accept or decline. There are girls that will make the pool but will not get invited to anything else.

My friend said that they were told the details about the NTC would be forthcoming. It’s my understanding that even if you don’t make the Region team, you can still make the NTC.
