A friend told me an email went out stating SSA has decided not to play NTH in girls Academy this year?
Whats the backstory here?

I believe SSA canceled all their Academy games with NTH this weekend yesterday.

I know on the boy's side when my kid played academy, we always ended up playing some NTH team that was way lower skill level than our team, and their parents and even their coach would complain about how physical the game was. I'm not talking about thuggish play, I'm talking about physical legal play. That was a couple of years ago though.
I had always heard the girls side of NTH was the better of the two groups. Maybe SSA tired of scheduling academy games asking for B/C level teams and NTH always pairing them with A level teams. Doesn't do either team any good if the games are blowouts.

GSA does this stuff as well.

Errnt! Wrong! It builds the egos of the kids, and more importantly the parents.

Yep we took NTH off our Academy schedule too due to never sending appropriate teams. They always wanted to send us there top Nasa teams against our lower level teams just to make those East Cobb snobs happy.

What level is “Academy”? Isn’t that a fairly low level anyway.

Our experience playing NASA at the Academy age groups, they tend to always have at least 2-4 players from their "A" team playing down with as low as their "C,D,E" teams. Personally I don't think players should drop down that low. One team down, maybe two only when needed.

It's funny but a bit off... Upper to Upper-Middle class is a better definition. Also ,it's a bit dated with the Abercrombie reference.
It should also include arrogance and a misplaced feeling of superiority.
