Can anyone comment on the recent loses with Atlanta United's current U16/17 group? It seems there are a lot of rostered potential players (40), especially 2004 VS 2003 which could be the reason. Since the summer DA showcase June 20th AU is 1 win and 4 losses with scoring 6 and giving up 12. The first game of this season lost 4-0 to NCFC? What happened there? Are they trying more 2004 players to fill this roster? I guess time will tell. Next up Houston Dynamo. Should be a good game to watch!

I think I just found one of the answers: Thanks Futsal GawdessThe U17x will play the big tourney games like DA Cup, GA Cup and tournaments. These are primarily the 2003s with sprinkling of 2004s. The U17DA will play the regular DA schedule games. These are primarily the 2004s or what we would call the U16s The problem AU found was when the U16s would play non-DA games for a year, they needed more time the next season to get back into DA form Read more: gasoccerforum.com/thread/4289/atlanta-uniteds-17s-england#ixzz5z30ojcN8

Atlanta United Updates The U17x played Charlotte Independence this past weekend in a friendly. After an initial jet-lagged induced run of 2 quick goals by Charlotte, AU U17x responded and ripped off 5 goals. Both teams play this upcoming weekend against Houston Dynamo in the continuation of the DA Cup. Generation Adidas (GA Cup) updates - The schedule for the U15s and U17s should be coming out soon. But so far this is what I hear is the first round games will be held in October in the usual showcase format hosted by Toronto FC Norte of the Border at the BMO Training Ground (TFC): AU U15s - Toronto FC, NYC FC, Columbus Crew SC AU U17x - Toronto FC, Columbus Crew SC, FC Cincinnati Looks like the AU training grounds will also be hosting some games early next year - Qualifying Schedule - www.mlssoccer.com/generation-adidas-cup/2020/qualifying
