Wow!!! Obviously the higher ups at National Rush did not like the ideas they were offering. Said to see Kirby go and hoping she finds a new home soon. Plenty of clubs would love to add her to their staff.
So first they leave Adidas for Capelli, then they back out of merger options, and then hire and fire/resign two highly qualified coaches.

They should drop the national club association and merge with Ambush (and Impact). We're in a club consolidation war at the moment.

I'm sure Ambush and Impact really want to get involved in that dumpster fire.

We were there for a few years. Changed clubs this year and are very happy. However, I hate to see this happen to the people that remained. The rumor that seemed to be going around for more than a year was that UFA wanted to swallow up GA Rush, but the two organizations could never come to an agreement.

The issue I heard is that they want to keep the Rush name and affiliation but merge and let another club come in and run things. But yes I don’t think Rush as a whole can survive in Atlanta without a larger complex and blueprint of players.

The owner of this complex should put this soccer club on notice of default when the next one occurs (and it will). They should then proceed to take the necessary steps to terminate the lease and find someone that wants to use the space and can do so in an effective manner. I would think Tophat Milton and UFA would like to add these fields for their own reasons.

The club might s but I will say their 2004 girls is by far the strongest team in GA at that age. How did this little club come up with so much talent?

Oh I would not make those exemptions. By far the strongest team girls 04 at that age group.

Oh I would not make those exemptions. By far the strongest team girls 04 at that age group. No chance that they are the strongest. I agree with Tophat DA, UFA DA and Concorde Platinum. You also need to equate in the Tophat SCCL team into the equation and also the GSA ecnl team.

Yes I agree. In this day and age we can no longer assume that just because a team is DA or ECNL it is better than a team in NL.

That divorce has essentially ruined any chance of a club functioning and growing there.

In my daughters age group they had kids leave who are now playing at UFA DA, AFU ECNL, Concorde ECNL and Tophat DA. They actually did a good job developing talent at younger ages but unfortunately the business side was a complete joke and the better players left to go to clubs who could provide the leagues Rush did not have and could not get.

And their 04 team isn't on the same planet with TH DA, GSA or Concorde ECNL. They would probably get beat by both AFU ECNL (who beat GSA last year), and UFA DA. 5th or 6th in state at best. But they are a very good team with a couple of players who could make any of those teams most likely.

This is a huge problem in all of this. The good old boys focus on talent ID and take from teams that are good at talent development. Eventually you are left with clubs that are just good at marketing or good old boysing and wonder why your kids arent developing even though they are on the "best" team or in the "best" league. We parents fall for it every time.

The 04 NL is definitely strong, unfortunately with everything going on over there they lost some key girls on that team, I know they lost one of their strong midfielders to DA. Wonder how that team would be if they kept everyone. Possibly would have been number 2 in the state. That Tophat 04 DA team is strong

You do want your kid playing in the most competitive league (DA and ECNL), but I agree that the focus on those teams is generally tactical and winning. If you want to keep progressing skills-wise you're gonna have to get private training or work independently.

Rush 04 and Concorde Platinum played in a tourney last year. Concorde won 4 or 5 to 1 (the fast striker from Rush drew a penalty for what was probably their only chance of the game). From my perspective the game wasn’t as close as the score. CF had the ball about 80%+ of the game. I’d say 04 Rush would likely be a middle/bottom half of the table SE ECNL team.

Has the club said anything to you all of why? Or given any reason to Kirby leaving? She was brought on by Rodriguez shortly after he took the ED position. From what I heard, she didn’t even know about his firing until afterwards- ripple effect. We are not at the club anymore but it was a great place for developing players(and probably still is). It’s unfortunate as changes in leadership has been needed for a long time. But if you’ve ever dealt with MR you can understand why he didn’t last long at Rush, or MOBA, etc..

Having seen these teams play multiple times, I think this is a fairly accurate assessment. (Maybe not 80 percent possession though). Still this was probably the strongest girls team I was aware of outside of ECNL/ DA. However, not sure Rush is even at that level now given rumors of roster turnover.

Agree that 04 Rush Girls are the strongest GA team outside of ECNL/DA. In fact they would probably be relatively competitive in DA or ECNL. Not at the top of the table, but probably not the very bottom either. Maybe a slight exaggeration on 80% possession in the game I saw between CF and Rush, but honestly/objectively not by much - maybe 70/75%.

Not sure how you can say they are the best outside Of DA and ECNL. Surely they have to play the best SCCL team to be classed as that. The Tophat SCCL team would beat some of the ECNL teams.
