In the most recent email from US Club they mention that more clubs will be announced as part of their "players first" marketing campaign (which we discussed on here last year). I still don't get this campaign. Seems like its a money-grab from USCS with no visible benefits to the clubs (aside from yet ANOTHER logo for your website). There' a $100 application fee and I'm guessing it costs more to join/access to the licensing if you actually meet their criteria.
The funny thing to me about it is that they didn't simply grandfather in the ECNL clubs. So those clubs are at a "high enough" level to compete in your top league, but you don't brand them as having a "players first" mentality without additional $$$?

Yep. I was going to try not to be yet another cynic on a web forum, but this seems pretty clearly to be empty marketing. Another logo for the club website, and marketing listings. 100% marketing BS for parents to see when looking around for soccer a club to entrust their child and money.
...oh, and a PDF to put on the website that shows, "we care more than the other clubs."
Thanks for pointing it out.
