This has been discussed before but I've had kids play RPL in previous seasons and # of games was a big issue. I just noticed that the u17 boys premier I group only play 7 games. Sorry -- 7 games is not a season. How do they not schedule home & away games and play everyone twice? Who is the brains behind this? or lack there of.... and you wonder why the big X clubs pulled out of this.

Arguably, it's like that BECAUSE the big six and some others pulled out.

But I think that also happened occasionally before the Big 5 pulled out.
So with the Sunshine Conference merging in, are they going to give different state associations a set number of teams? It sounds like more vagueness with "up to 14 teams".

From looking at the website for Piedmont Conference why not just combine Premier I and Premier II. Forget promotion and relegation if there are not enough teams to play games.

Some age groups are playing home/away to increase the number of games. That seems like a reasonable solution in cases where there aren't enough teams to fill a schedule with single games vs. unique opponents.
To be honest, I prefer home/away scheduling because it's interesting to see how teams change and adjust during the season.

There are only four teams in the new DPL South league. They play everyone 3 times for a total of 9 games. And they are all out of state teams.
