Like many others, I see the lack of relegation in the MLS as something that holds back the talent pool for the USMNT. Yet, I think peace in the Middle East has a better chance of happening than the MLS team owners will welcome relegation. Fortunately there's another problem that might be easier to address in the following interview:

If CONCACAF and CONMEBOL were to merge the US would turn into San Marino or the Faroe Islands, we would never qualify for the World Cup unless they took 10-12 teams.
The National Team isnt there to develop players, that's on each players respective club team. The biggest problem isn't the competition in CONCACAF it's the environment in which the players train and compete on a daily basis, our players need to be playing in the best leagues possible not coming home for a retirement check.... I'm looking at you Bradley and Altidore 👀

Heh, you said best players and Bradley im the same sentence.
Im just happy that Jones retired. Bradley and Josey retiring would be a real step forward.
