Do many of your academy coaches emphasize juggling inside/outside of practice?
Does being able to juggle a significant amount really make you a more well rounded player?

Yes, they did at u9 to u12. Definitely helps your touch.
Certainly you can be a good juggler and not a good player...and vice versa.

What is the old saying, you can be a great juggler but not be a good player but you can't be a good player without being a good juggler.

In academy the warmup for most days was juggling. The girls were encouraged to arrive early and juggle while waiting for practice to start.

I would say that this is one thing that we can all agree on, juggling is an important cornerstone.

I would say it is important, but I have seen DA caliber players that are some of the best that couldn't juggle worth a flip. So A doesn't always equal B.

Juggling teaches players to control the ball under any circumstance. That’s why it’s important.

juggling is good to balance with other on the ball work. I've seen kids dedicate countless hours to juggling, yes, they are great jugglers and can do some cool tricks, but can't play 11v11 soccer for a lick.
Like anything else to become a great player you need to be well rounded - good first touch, good technical skill, good field vision, good pace and/or quickness, good work ethic and high soccer iq.

A certain player named Bret Conway stumbled onto my U-14 team. He was forced to learn to juggle. He later picked up a football at Parkview HS, and became a auper recruit for Joe Pertono at Penn State and later a high paid pro NFL kicker.
