Twas the night before tryouts
And on every field
Anticipation was growing
To see what it would yield
Every soccer mom worried
Every dad said ‘You’ll see
All the elite teams
Want our little Mia and Messi
Whether it’s Athena A, Classic 1, RPL
Or maybe DA, ODP, or ECNL?
Don’t worry, dear,
Our player will land at the top
And if that doesn’t work out,
