www.hbo.com/documentaries/diego-maradonaI just watched this movie and recommend it - as a cautionary tale, and an honest glimpse into professional soccer - fame, money, power, corruption, etc. I was too young to really know anything about Maradona other than the “hand of god”. This explains it all, and shows the private life of Maradona when he played for Napoli. Has anyone else watched it yet?

Yes, fantastic, I was in awe of his greatness. What a touch and chest of creativity.
The underbelly really is disturbing.

So many levels of disturbing... especially the complicated anti-nationalism of Naples when it chose to support Maradona and Argentina over its own home country. And to have that game played at the San Paolo! Wow.

Homicide? His neurosurgeon, psychiatrist, nurse coordinator and two nurses plus others? This seems a bit harsh. Generally concerns of malpractice do not lead to homicide charges. I don't know Argentine laws but at worst case I would think involuntary manslaughter. Besides that is a lot of people to be involved with intent to do harm to someone.
