Zlatan for the win.
Thats a big difference I see, lets say compared to the nba. many ex nba players go back to their communities and help finance AAU teams etc. Not all, but its a much more common thing. US soccer players didn't get paid like nba players did through their careers and aren't in the same positions financial. The AAU circuit is expensive as well, the camps etc, but I guess nike/adidas is helping more?? not sure to be honest? anyone know for sure.
Zlatan is never wrong....Never.....

I agree with Zlatan with the high cost of soccer here in the states. It seems in other countries they will find the talent and take care of the player.
I've heard that Nike/Adidas etc. take care of teams with costs for tournaments in AAU basketball. We can only wish this were the case for soccer.

I got some grief from someone on twitter at being to negative and an annoying anti everything person, but this latest wall street journal piece seems very problematic. Our federation is really really really in bad shape I'm a frustrated human that's for sure. I'll admit, I've never had a kid invited to a national team camp so I'm not savy when it comes to national teams and the politics in play etc.

Its going to take another missed World Cup cycle or more to wrest control away from the powers that be. A complete teardown is needed.
