Anyone made the jump into the paid recruiting websites like berecruited, NCSA or Soccerwire? Has anyone seen any value on in them?

Anyone made the jump into the paid recruiting websites like berecruited, NCSA or Soccerwire? Has anyone seen any value on in them? I have two. NCSA I only use the free version because I everything they will do for you, you can do yourself. I also have be recruited which I paid the 90 for a 4 year program. I use both in tandem but spend more time on be recruited. NCSA for 1000 is ridiculous in my mind

My daughter (now a senior) used the free version of NCSA for almost a year. Posted highlights, updated info periodically. Actually got a number of hits on it. Never did the paid version despite about 500 phone calls and emails!
Actually got more traction out of soccer in college. Paid for their three month membership a couple of times. Posted highlights, future events, etc. This generated a lot of contact and interest from coaches before and after tourneys.
Multi college ID camps are also a must. The daughter got on a couple of D1 and D2 radar screens after only 1 camp, did the individual schools camps later in the year and ended up getting heavily recruited by three of four.

Had most success with contacts on SINC. Looked for coaches that were going to be at the tournament and sent information to them. Paid the $20 for the month to communicate and post schedules. ID camps are also the way to go, going to the schools that your child wants to attend for academics and environment important.

Could you all answer me this question: What league is/was your daughter/son involved in (DA, GDA, ECNL, SCCL, etc.)?

I would like to add to FG request, please iclude their leagues from 8-12 grade (the years that seem to count from developmental and recruiting perspective), which services they used, what division they end up signing with. Also, at what age did they start attending ID camps? When did they start the recruiting process?
Would be very good info for people like myself entering into the process next year.
For instance, I understand strikermom's daughter played ECNL her senior year and was injured her junior year, but before that and prior college/recruiting history?

My daughter is an 05 playing ECNL. We signed up with NCSA and I think it has been worth the money for a couple of reasons. Tons of info on schools, ease of having all of the coaches contact info for e mailing before showcases as well as the ability to have them do your highlight videos. Her profile has been viewed around 250 times and she has 60 schools following her profile about half D1 and half D3. Every time her profile changes with GPA, highlight video, etc the schools following her are notified. As far as ID camps she started last year because we wanted her to get used to being at them, being coached by different people, etc. No value in going that young other than getting them comfortable in those surroundings. She has been to about 8 so far, started at Oglethorpe, BC, Villanova, Furman, Mercer, etc. I'm happy to discuss NCSA with anyone who wants to if you message me directly.

A few years ago she was RPL (hated it) and has guest played in the past with NPL squads. More info: Athena A, RPL, then SCCL during 11th / 12th grade years. Daughter was adamant that she had no interest playing in college. Until mid way through her U17 club season then realized how much she would miss it. At that point it we were a little behind schedule as far as recruiting. Did her first non-club based multi college ID camp January of her Junior year of high school and had a fantastic camp. Followed up with 4 specific school based ID camps from April - July of that year. Took about 8 unofficial visits, 4 official visits through November of her Senior year. Verbal commit in November. (Still has several schools trying to get her on campus but as long as there are no coaching changes she will sign during a school event in February) Some additional advice, get tons of highlight vids. Pay someone to do it for you if you can - I had kids from her high school A/V program video club and high school games. They were much better than me and charged me very little to do it. Also, there are tons of great opps out there for kids, especially females, to play soccer. My daughter had two pretty solid d1 programs pushing hard for her. A great D3 school and tons of D2’s. She decided a D2 school was the best fit for her from academics, athletics, coaches (whom she has really formed a great bond with) and current players. For her she instantly “knew it” when she stepped on campus and interacted with the team and staff.

Everyone has a different path, no ones will be the same and what works for some won't work for others. This is our experience:
Never used a paid recruiting website
Daughter plays DA, prior to that she played RPL/NL
She started getting recruited thru ODP at their regional events. Then at showcases with her team coaches would come watch
Never attended a soccer ID camp that she wasn't personally invited to -- I always felt that unless they knew you were coming, they didn't pay attention to you.
Never made a recruiting video - was never asked to.
She will be playing D1 in college

soccermomCongratulations to your daughter. Did the school that she decided she will play for initiate the recruiting of your daughter or did she reach out to the school's coaches, etc. to express interest and that started them to look at her?

soccermomCongratulations to your daughter. Did the school that she decided she will play for initiate the recruiting of your daughter or did she reach out to the school's coaches, etc. to express interest and that started them to look at her? Coach reached out to her and then would go to events she was at and kept in touch. She never went to their ID camp, coach said it wasn't necessary since he has seen her play already. She didn't want to go to that school at first, but agreed to a visit and fell in love with the campus. She would then compare other schools to them and is super happy with her final decision. My son is younger and we haven't started the process yet. Boys get recruited at a later age
