SCCL Winter Updates
“Dream big. Start small.
But most of all, start.”
– Simon Sinek
The Southeastern Clubs Champions League was formed by clubs and leaders in the soccer world who dreamed of a better way to do soccer. We dreamed big, started small, and continue to innovate with the sole purpose to attract more players and fans to our beautiful game in a way that makes sense and can evolve with the needs of its members.
The SCCL will be expanding in 2020!
The SCCL is pleased to announce an expansion for the Summer of 2020 . The SCCL will offer a new, elite Summer League for member clubs wishing to participate. Non-SCCL Member clubs are welcome to apply for the Summer League - you do not have to be a member of SCCL to participate. Applications for the SCCL Summer League will open on January 1st and clubs will be accepted on a rolling basis.
The focus of this league will be to extend the elite level of programming so many players, coaches, and parents look for during the Summer months without breaking the bank! Each participating club will enter one team in each age group for each gender. All matches will be scheduled in the months of June and July.
Tentative Information for Summer League 2020
First Matches: Weekend of June 6th
Length of Season: Minimum of 8 Matches; to be completed by the end of July
The Why: Most summer leagues which operate at a comparable competitive level are just too expensive for clubs to justify participation. The SCCL is a proven, club-centric platform that reduces travel, reduces costs, and strives to reduce competitive imbalance.
Playing Formats and Eligible Age Groups:
2010s: 9v9
2009s: 9v9
2008s: 11v11
2007s: 11v11
2006s: 11v11
2005s: 11v11
2004s: 11v11
*All rosters can have a max pool of 26 players; 18 players max for each game day roster
