Note: This is not a girls soccer post.
Wish this guy well. Two footed goal scoring machine. NASA alum.
Twenty seconds of highlights with seventeen seconds of celebration. I really wish he had gone to Germany or anywhere else to play but it’s still an awesome opportunity.

IIRC he played RPL and not DA until his senior year so he COULD play HS ball. Then his senior year he played for GA United in the DA.

Think he played at Roswell Santos through Academy and maybe even a year or two of select. Anyone know for sure when he switched to NASA?

Some bad news for Cal -- Cal Jennings was missing from FC Dallas training today and according to Coach Luchi Gonzalez won’t be offered a first-team contract. “We don’t have a contract for [Jennings] at the first team. There is some potential, maybe, for professionalism with the second team.” 3rddegree.net/no-first-team-fc-dallas-contract-for-cal-jenningsWhat a bunch of BS, they own his MLS rights still even though they don't want to sign him.

Unpaid "rights" makes no sense. Is MLS the only place this happens?

Unpaid "rights" makes no sense. Is MLS the only place this happens? No, it also happens in the NBA. They draft a kid from overseas and have it rights but he continues to play oversees until the club sees fit to move him over.

Yes, but he is paid by his current club and under contract. That is usually limited by his oversees deal. This kid basically is at the mercy of FC dallas now... Total horse poop I posted a story years ago about a notre dame keeper that got screwed like this, the club that owned his rights, didn't want him and they waited to long to release him, basically got hosed. Interestingly also, FC dallas announced they signed a new homegrown today also -- maybe that is why.... this is who they signed -- Tanner Tessman, incoming freshman to Clemson for Soccer and football, from bham originally. clemsontigers.com/sports/football/roster/tanner-tessmann/Is it me -- or does Birmingham seem to spit out some soccer talent reguarly?
