No one was selected from the 06 GSA team? I thought they had a lot of boys in ODP this year - a couple selected for international trips, etc.... Seems odd to me but I have no clue how all of that works.

Embarrassing That only one player from UFA Was selected. Joke
There are some quality players on many of these local DA teams
Whose picking these players?

Agree, GSA 2006 has been crushing teams in GA and Region 3 for the last 3 years. AU took their goalie last year. Who are the scouts?

Anyone know the process of selection these days -- clearly AU's staff has involvement?
In the old days coaches/club would recommend their top players etc, not sure if that is still the case or not.

It is like having your kid try out for ODP when you are from a small club. Life aint fair.

We know a handful if kids on that ufa u14 team - some good players. If they don’t think there is at a minimum 3 kids off each DA team - than we are talking serous Failure of the DA system.

Here is how, but really doesn't state how, given many of the younger age DA games do not have scouts -- I guess unless you are Atlanta United:
How can I sign my son or daughter up for a U.S. Soccer YNT Talent ID Center? Players are identified by our scouting network and invited based on their performance with their respective club teams. Players must first prove they can be successful in a competitive club environment before being invited. Recommendations from club coaches and directors are accepted at scouting@ussoccer.org
I thought the old NTC system was "retired" --

I have asked about half dozen coaches from different clubs and searched the internet for YNT scouts. The answers that I have received are: Almost all of the scouting is at DA level. There are some coaches at clubs that are scouts but can't scout out of their club (must send a recommendation for a player to be reviewed). Scouts for YNT are lazy and the process shows. These are some of the answers I received.
I have a child that plays at the ECNL level has been chosen for several big tournaments as guest player, leads with scoring and assists can play anywhere on the pitch and be influential. But, not being looked at in ECNL.
I am not willing to go any of the DA clubs or chase AU, so just letting him have fun until someone actually notices.
