GSA in the top 40, and UFA not even on the list? A little surprising. Was thinking the same thing. Especially with UFA having DA on the girls side. Wonder how many DA clubs were left of the list. Cant imagine many. |

There were plenty DA clubs as far as I could tell. GSA is better in ECNL than UFA is in GDA.

UFA wasn't on the boys list either and that is more surprising than the girls list.
UFA needs more time in DA to get stronger results. As much as we says results shouldn't matter, they do in this sort of ranking. Only the 04 team is doing super well right now...only 1 place out of playoff contention. If they got into the playoffs with half of their age groups then they might get into the top 100. Same thing goes for AFU in ECNL.

Maybe, but I wouldnt put them as a top-20 ECNL club (assuming the top 20 DA clubs constitute the half the top 40 clubs overall). Not with all those west coast and NE clubs. Looking at the ECNL champions league standings bares this out.

The more I study this, the rankings actually look pretty accurate in my opinion. Outside of the top 20, in particular 20 to 50, there is less consistency and depth. Even less in the 50-100 range. I think UFA and Atl Fire could easily land in the 50-100 range or higher any given year depending on results, consistency, and depth.
