The UFA Norcross Girl’s 05 SCCL1 team will be looking for a GK for the fall season as ours is moving out of state. We finished 4th in the 05 bracket with a winning record so we are competitive, and have a couple additional players joining us also.
Our games this past season were played at Pickneyville Park & Summerour (both in Norcross), with some games at Fowler and the location right off McGinnis Ferry also.
If you know someone who may be interested please PM me and I will give you more information.

Good luck to that end (not sarcasm), I'm going to hijack your thread as it may even pertain to your daughter (trying to stay on topic).
This is a question related to the SCCL 05's and this Spring...
SCCL was supposed to do an 05 spring league (allowing for ECNL/SCCL/DPL/Athena/Classic U15 "trap year" players who are not in high school to play decent level Spring ball). An 05 parent at our club mentioned that's what they were told in January, but it seems to have failed to materialize. Does anyone know what happened?

I was told many balked at the pricing, considering it was going to be a bevy of scrimmages only. Many didn't think it was a value-add when you factor in the price...

I wonder how SCCL summer league will fare. Basically the same length season.

That pricing statement you mentioned would be a true statement...

Interesting enough it was this 8th grade trap year issue that was one of the things that lead to SCCL.
The first year it happened my child was a 9th grader playing high school. But plenty of players on her club team were in 8th grade with no chance of spring ball (Gwinnett does not allow 8th graders to participate in HS). One of those big ‘whoopsie’ moments from the birth year change. Club team was playing in R3PL in the fall.
Anyway, coach says the local R3PL teams from GSA, TH, AFU, Concorde, UFA and SSA were trying to put a spring friendly season together, which they did. They even got GA soccer to host it on Affinity Sports. Add in a few other teams and it was not a bad season. Wasn’t perfect but better than nothing.
Those local DOCs realized that they basically created their own mini-league on their own. After another year of miserable R3PL experience, they were ready to split off. Ergo: SCCL.

Sorry this thread got hijacked. Hope it reaches the right audience anyhow! That’s a great group of girls the OP is trying to help. I know they overcame a lot of injuries (+ a top player departed after only a couple of matches). Good luck!
