I'll give this board credit, the board has historically been very positive of the Concorde u17 boys da group.
What has happened to this team? They were the top team at u13 - easily the top team in the North Carolina/Georgia DA
and right there at u15 after losing their top 2 players to Atlanta United, they didn't skip a beat. Last year at u16, I thought that group did very well in ecnl right?
Now at u17, they are 0-4-1 in the southeast division in dead last - with only 2 goals for But - In the DA cup standings - they are at the top 3-1-1 with 11 goals for
Is the DA cup group play complete, did they win their group and advance? if so, the southeastern division standings are moot correct?

There is two ways to qualify for nationals, league standings and DA cup. As far as the DA cup, they won their group but lost all their games in the DA winter cup, which means they won’t advance from those results. DA cup was the first five games played of the season which could mean a team that has played together for a while such as the Concorde team, would do better compared to newer teams, and is now suffering as other teams are playing better together?.I don’t know the coach for this team but it is a very large team according to their roster!

But DA is the best... After the MLS refines their DA processes, DA will be gone as we know it.

Awful, this is called taking a good group of boys and not developing them for 1.5 years.

Too bad for the players... I guess their parents bought into the DA hype. Lots of great coaches develop players outside of DA.

DA hype is real, don't fool yourself. Any kid not playing it wants to. What is on the other side is not always great. DA is still considered the top tier. Are there outliers, of course, majority want and do play DA.

That is sad to hear! I know a lot of kids got over looked trying out for this team but maybe that was for the best then! And truth to be told, if MOST of our kids had a choice they would play DA, just like they would jump at the chance to be playing at AU. That’s not to say that other teams/players/coaches can be as good.
