Hey everyone... I wanted to share some information regarding a friend of mine and what he is doing to the soccer landscape. He literally wrote the FIFA Beach Soccer Manuel (Co-Author), Eddie Loewen and his best friend, Arne Friedrich, are creating amazing opportunities for players in the US. If you don't know who Arne is.. Here's a little help...German National Team, and played in Euro 2004, World Cup 2006, Euro 2008 and the World Cup 2010. He is the Performance Manager of Hertha BSC working with Jurgen Klinsmann and Partner of Global Soccer Development. Eddie has an amazing passion for individual development. I was real lucky to meet Eddie and have him coach my son from the ages 6-9. I know his passion for development personally. Anyways, Eddie (just Google "Eddie Loewen") has grown to a power house for scouting, European tours/ trials, UEFA Licensing. He's got a great vision and is looking to expand by adding MLS/USL trials for young players across the US/Europe in 2020/21. www.soccertoday.com/training-in-germany-benefits-youth-and-pro-soccer-players/In short (lol), he is conducting tryouts/ trials in Tucker on March 6th. globalsoccerdevelopment.com/registration/georgia/If you have the chance or time I highly recommend. Even if you don't get selected, the 1.5 hours with him is totally worth it.

Not to be an a$$ but is this a money grab to get kids to sign up for an international tour for big bucks and kickbacks or..? Seriously, not trying to be rude and I know everyone has to make a buck somehow but I'd really like to know your opinion. I have a friend who is interested and brought this exact camp up to me the other day so I was glad to see you posting about it.

Yes, plenty of $$ grabs but Eddie is one I know that actually has a plan. Will most not get signed, yes. Have some, yes. It takes time for Eddie to know these players personally and then vouch for them to these level of clubs. He helps prepare them for the next stage, levels. No its not. Its another path way. They do offer financial scholarships and also setting up tools to help raise funds for the trips. He is working on College relationships this year and next. He truly wants to help educate players. He has "actually" helped several kids get seen and signed in Europe. www.soccertoday.com/eddie-loewen-on-youth-soccer-players-training-in-germany/The College path he is trying to create will be amazing. He wants the same creditability he has in Germany as for Colleges here. You know international clubs can not sign a player until 18. Once they are 18, the international clubs can't compare vs local talents. So you have to have some games so they can truly evaluate vs their own local talent. Its a process. But I know in future, if you are a scouted GSD player. It will help your chances of being seen.

Also to add in the end, $35 for a 1.5hr session with Eddie is a huge value. Everyone that attends the tryouts isnt selected. He only wants to bring valued quality players. He's only selected around 2,000 kids over the past few years, 4 have signed so a very small % (0.20%) But these are players that wouldnt have gotten selected without him. Some have those 2000 got into College, or play in USL etc..

Thanks for the info, I’ll pass it along!

Curious to see who had a kid attend this session and got an invite this week?

I know of a few kids that got invites but Coach Eddie also "scouted" at games. Not sure who may have gotten invites from that session only...

My kid was there for the training more or less. Shocking to me since it was for boys only and she got an invite... It was then that I figured everyone got an invite.

Strange. It's for boys and girls. Not everyone gets an invite, I know that for sure so please don't spread miss information.
He scouts for 3 different levels and rates the players. Some might get invites, some will be London and some will be Germany I think for this year. The clubs in Europe have been ramping up youth girl's programs and have asked him to bring players over so they can compare the level of play and look at talent. So it is new but also big unexplored opportunities for girls. I see this a huge opportunity that will grow bigger the years to come.
Not sure if you know but most youth girls practice with boys until U15/16 and then they move into a full youth women's program.
