Most of the season? Try two years for most soccer players. I’d say maybe back by mid year next season but no where near back to where he was yesterday till the 2022 season.

Maybe. Zlatan was back at a very high level pretty quickly. Lots of factors come into place in regards to the recovery time. Martinez is certainly out for a lengthy amount of time.
I see lots of people saying someone from Europe or South America should be added to the roster. That might be tough to do, due to the limitations in transfer markets and such. Freely admitting I don't know the ins and outs of all that.....just hoping Martinez can recover to be his old self by early next season.
As soon as he went down Saturday night, we had our suspicions it might be his ACL.
My daughter tore hers last Spring. Unfortunately, we are getting pretty good at spotting this injury now on other players. Wish we had not learned this new skill.

Yea, you could tell it didn't look good they way it got tweaked. Not sure why the training staff let him step foot back on the field, looked pretty obvious he had a nice limp and was favoring it before he went back in etc. and given the way he had to come off the field, seems foolish.
there was a head injury/contact in the lafc/miami game later in the day, player was evaluated in like 30 seconds.
our world won't let 10 year olds head the ball, but a professional hits his head and is allowed to play 25 seconds later --- I think we have a problem!!!
