It's also crazy to see the difference between boys and girls -- This team is loaded with players from the south, doesn't seem to be the case with boys.

So I guess that means they still scout ECNL players?? I know they have Regional camps, and then they choose the National camp girls. I'm curious how the ECNL girls get selected? I'm assuming the ECNL Clubs select who should be sent to the Regional Camps and they are even offered to the ECNL teams? Or is it scouting? If so, it would mean the USSF is scouting more than just USSDA, correct?

My son has played against the 2 NYCFC kids multiple times. Stafford is a beast and has been since we first encountered him at 9 years old. He is a fantastic back line player. Rouse is a joke in my opinion. Been watching him for years...first at NYSC and now at NYCFC. I went out to watch NYCFC play in the Generations Adidas Cup out a AU a few weeks ago against Orlando City. Rouse was a complete non-factor.

great stuff to hear though. love it when people can actually validate and question decision making. We all have different opinions that's for sure, but I've really only seen the southeast teams play.

You have 3 players from outside the US and one goalie who is non-MLS.

I will say this....I shared this list with my son and when he saw Rouse's name, he lost his mind

Also, both NYRB and NYCFC are constantly scouting the non-MLS clubs in the metro area and poaching their top talent. There is a lot of year-over-year roster turnover, especially at NYRB. My son's best friend at FC Westchester got poached by NYCFC......much better player than Rouse....in fact, scored both goals against AU in the GA Cup.
