With Roswell and AFU now in the Champions’ bracket that makes 10 teams . If they keep the format of playing each other twice , that will make 18 games. Do you think they will do that or create two brackets and you play the other 4 teams on your side twice while playing the opposite side once each ? That would give 13 games vs 18. In U15 we played 14 last year. Thoughts ? Would they charge parents more if they did 18 games to cover refs / fields for the extra games ?
Just for giggles I created a West and East bracket:
West 1. BUSA 2. VHSC 3. SSA 4. TH 5. CF
East 1. CESA 2. Roswell 3. AFU 4. UFA 5. GSA
Thoughts ?

Last we heard they were still debating CCL with Inter/Impact Alliance group.

The only announcement so far is that AFU has joined. In addition SCCL states they have 2 additional announcements coming soon (this week). While there is a rumor Roswell will be added that is not official. Also, with CESA joining the new Carolina ECRL league, there is rumor they won't be in SCCL anymore. So, at this point it is probably too early to speculate on schedule & costs for next year.
Personally I think they will have 10 teams total next year and teams will play 18 games (each other team twice). As for fees, that will be up to each individual club. I just hope they don't split into divisions and then add a crossover tournament at the end of the season. It would be nice to have the ability to choose other tournaments to go play other teams instead of the same group over & over.
Lastly, where did SCCL-C come from? I haven't seen the league or any of the clubs use that. The official announcement from SCCL introducing AFU stated, "Atlanta Fire United Soccer Club (AFU) will join the top flight of the Southeast’s most competitive league, the SCCL, in 2020-21". So, they are calling it the SCCL and/or the top flight of the SCCL.

C standing for "Club Based" or Champions division was what I was going for on that. Really they messed up. They should have called the top flight Premier, and then just called the other ones SCCL Division I, Division II, etc....

Either way its not too bad. I've wondered how they're planning to do this myself. The commitment level may be going up to nearly ECNL U15+ level (20 games in the fall...plus they have the December showcase).
Lets say they go to 12 teams (NTH, CF, UFA, GSA, SSA, AFU, BUSA, VHSC, Roswell (rumored), Ambush (rumored), AFC (mentioned), CESA (possible)), that would be 22 games, a bit much but ECNL did it last fall. If they split it into divisions, it would make sense to do 10 divisional games and 6 inter-divisional, but whichever side gets Birmingham gets the worst of it (a day at CESA is not really equivalent).
I honestly meant to talk to some CESA SCCL parents at the Challenge Cup but the weather was terrible that Sunday and just didn't get around to it. Wanted to know if they knew anything more about ECRL. Its very interesting that there is nothing on the CESA website (or CISC) that mirrors the January ECNL-RL announcement.
I know we had a Roswell 06 parent on here, I'm curious what they have heard.
AFC has been rumored (someone mentioned them drinking the Kool Aid). I think we have a couple AFC parents on here, I'm curious whether they know anything and aren't saying?
And Ambush? But there were only "2" more announcements coming...
With regard to AFU, we didn't "know" anything. It was understood that we "should be getting" an SCCL spot for 2020-21, but until it was announced it wasn't guaranteed.
I'm assuming there won't be any pro/rel from SCCL after 2020/21, but after that, aside from the original 5 in-state, everyone else is fair game...

I agree with slickdaddy96, they screwed up the name (two-fold). One, the whole organization of leagues is called "SCCL" AND the top club-based bracket is called "SCCL". FG mentioned the "Champions" bracket naming...but no one wants to say "SCCL Champions". Also, the Champions/Premier is revered from the English league naming system, so its counter-intuitive to me. Wouldn't hurt to rebrand to "Southeastern Clubs Leagues" (SCL) with SCLC and SCLP (Champions and Premier)...but I agree with ultimatedad...what exactly are they champions of? Maybe the "C" could stand for "clubs". I dunno, it needs to be less confusing though.

So SCCL and I figure it’s Premier leagues (1-3). Probably to go with English Premier League and then UEFA Champions League.

Expected. Interesting the AFU logo not in that 9, and ATL UTD IS...when they only have one age group in the league (academy at that).

Glad to see an announcement. I hope that more announcements regarding structure and clubs will be forthcoming for SCCL and everything else.

I am truly surprised they picked Roswell over AFU to replace CESA.

I am truly surprised they picked Roswell over AFU to replace CESA. I don't think that's the case, they just picked the time to remove CESA and add Roswell to their graphic...while not removing the "big name ATL UTD" club from the nice 3x3 graphic. As it is, ATL UTD is such a minor member that its not really worth mentioning that they're in the league.
They haven't removed the social media posts at least...
I don't think SCCL, not having much of an administrative organization has a good social media presence.

Does this mean Roswell left Piedmont/National League?

Also, SCCL will have at least 16 games next fall.
So the question is what about AFC and Ambush? "SCCL Summer league" only?
Also, Inter/Impact/Alliance annoucement? Tryouts might be NEXT MONTH.

Does this mean Roswell left Piedmont/National League? Yes, Roswell had to give up their piedmont spots. The 05g team is still considering leaving and taking their piedmont spot with them to a rival club but either way the spots are gone from Roswell

I assume they primarily did this to support these boys side, which would have only had once NL Piedmont spot.
Meanwhile it's going to be more difficult to get into NL and require more travel once you're in.
