What is the latest on Nashville and Charlotte MLS academies?
I personally don't think Charlotte can add another DA program -- is CSA trying to partner with the new club?

Nashville is currently U12 DA and expanding up to U15 in the 20/21 season. They do have open ID Clinics for selection. (some scouting as well)
Not a lot of info yet on Charlotte MLS Academy. They will play in the 20/21 season but don't think they have determined what age groups yet. The homegrown area will be North Carolina and South Carolina.
Not a lot of information yet. Huge elite player pool in NC and SC. We have already seen mergers over the past few years and I can see another reorg coming soon.

I've asked this before and forgot the answer --
Player from Atlanta isn't on Atlanta United's radar -- They go to Orlando or DC United and are invited to the team, does Atlanta United have to clear them and formally state they are not interested in the player?

It's a very gray area now that more MLS homegrown territory rules are in place. The rules are that they have to train/ live near the club for about a year in order to have an HG status.
Now if the player moves and goes into a different territory, I'm sure the two clubs speak with one another. Not sure how that works. Let's say a player has been at an MLS academy for 4 years but wants to leave and wants to go to a different MLS Club. Who owns his rights? Crazy to think that 4 years invested at one club just washes away once they switch clubs.
