Care to share what your club is doing to support your son/daughter during this Covid-19 Break? My question stems from this: throughout the time I have read this board and 'the other one'... the common theme that we should make decisions best for our children - based on the coach and club... So, I'd like to know - What support are you receiving. Would love unbias'd truth - just the facts. Who is actually practicing what they preach? If you want, break it down by the following: - Boy/Girl
- Age (can give range if you don't want to be specific)
- Club (or general location)
And provide information regarding: - Support from club (video training, phone calls from higher management, etc)
- Support from coach (any engagement? - emails to: team, parents? text group with team?)
What I'm most curious about is this - clubs and coaches say they care about their individual players - are they showing it? Are they reaching out to you or your player? Has your player reached out to their club or coach? If so, has that been reciprocated?

All the clubs seem to be sending out training plans and skills videos, etc. That's good.
younger kid's coach (as expected) sent out his own detailed program and is asking for regular videos, etc..he's engaged.
older kid's coach (as expected) could not give less of a shizat.

Had zero from our club since 04 Jan after NL Fl trip; silence even after pinging our coach directly.

Our club is communicating and preparing training videos for players across all age groups.
We have not heard anything from the coach. This isn't really a surprise as we didn't hear anything from him over the winter break either. He told the players he would send info to help them get touches and stay in shape over the winter, but the first we heard from him was a week before we started training again in late January.

Our club sent out training videos and training programs. Coaches for both kids (boy and girl) each requested us to send them videos of each child's training. In addition, older child's coach asks them to document their training and engages with each team member and the whole team on a virtual basis.

Girl, Roswell, u14- have had individual, small group and team zoom meetings with the coach. Girls split into small groups and have daily tasks (juggling skills, run a mile, etc etc) and post video on twitter- have a great scoring system where each small group gets points for posting or for winning each daily competition. It’s been really great. My daughter has been practicing and juggling for hours every day trying to get better and help her small group “win”.
