Pretty cool yesterday. The boys got to chat with a legend. Some great questions from the boys and answers from the Captain.

You are correct Futsal. Some of the younger players had a chance to do Q/A with Captain (Parkhurst), pretty cool for these young players.
Yesterday, the keepers did one with Alec Kann. Pretty impressed with the questions and equally the answers.
The U17's posted books they are currently reading.
Its amazing to see the high level of engagement AU is doing to keep these players involved.
The ones not following the "program" will be exposed. We have at least 30-45 more days that kids will have to do this on their own drive/ motivation. Going to be interesting.

In articles on ESPN they discussed how some Premier League and La Liga guys were struggling to stay motivated without their teammates to push them hence video meetings and video directed workouts. AU seems to be doing as much as they can to stay on task. That is great!

good article about DMV United: D.C. area youth soccer community vows not to leverage COVID-19 crisis www.soccerwire.com/news/dmv-united-d-c-area-youth-soccer-community-vows-not-to-leverage-covid-19-crisis/"With all soccer training and instruction moving online, DMV United members are coming together to share ideas, resources, and best practices for helping players continue their development from home. The newly-created DMV United website includes COVID-19 related resources specifically for coaches, players, parents and businesses." Perfect opportunity for a club like Atlanta United to host virtual coaching conversations with their youth partner clubs.....(maybe they are)

AU keepers had 1v1 with Captian Brad, freaking crazy. They went through the film and he talked through what he was thinking mentally and how he positioned himself. CRAZY good information. Just very cool for these boys.
I hope this can continue when things start up again. I know schedules are crazy but this information is so powerful. I would love to see this monthly. Just some game save highlights and what was going through his mind.
