Needs a new thread - appears to be the end of the road for DA (other thread is getting long)

Excellent decision. Always hated the fact that those girls had to sacrifice the opportunity to play for the high school. Now this simplified the pyramid with ECNL king and only other national option to be USYS National League. Will make college recruiting less confusing.

Whatever becomes the top division needs to be part of an Open Pyramid. No more “best because somebody said we are”. Prove it on the field.

NBC Sports reporting it as well. Too much smoke. DA is done.

Colleges want to simplify scouting also. Not having to travel to showcases for 2 leagues will help them out, cheaper.

I'm hearing there will be some coaches meetings with local clubs over the next few days. We should hear ALOT more in a day or so...
Anyway, there sure seems to be a bunch of smoke for there to be no fire. Tryouts will be even crazier this year and I didn't know that would be possible after the past 3-4 years.
Out of curiosity, how much does loyalty to current players count during tryouts?? I've always wondered but thought I'd ask everyone else's opinion. Will it play a major or minor role this year in particular?

Will it play a major or minor role this year in particular? In my opinion, Loyalty is everything for most coaches; shoot most people, particularly when said playerd brings up the loyalty card. Even when coach knows there are better options, they will find a way to justify it. There are rare occasions where said coach is strong enough to make the tough decision even if the loyalty card is at stake.
