Unless you have been living under a rock, everyone has heard the "rumors" of the demise and explosion of both the Girls and Boys Development Academy leagues, but so what? NTH has boys ECNL but may be locked out of ECNL, but so what? ECNL may be full and not truly be able to accommodate new albeit good clubs, but so what? Tryouts may be in the dead of summer heat with the rationing of one ladle of water per kid, per hour, but so what? The age mandate may have left the station 20 years ago or 5 years ago and may affect little Johnny and his friends or not, but so what?
As of late and maybe because of the lack of actual soccer in the streets, on our fields and on our TVs, we've resorted to loads of feverish speculation. Let us all take a collective moment to breathe, wait for actual decisions to be made, with the accompanying announcements then we can set our hair on fire(#BurnBabyBurn). Soccer and youth soccer at that, will not flatten the curve or remove our new quarantined curves. Soccer will not bring back jobs, food, homes, loved ones or even a laptop or internet access for our kids to digitally learn. So till then, let's enjoy having real dinners with our family instead of a quick fast food option after a late night practice. Let's enjoy being done with school and work early, so we can settle into catching up on shows, going for an after dinner walk or having a living room juggling contest. Less we forget, we are talking of an activity that is optional!!!
Soccer will return when it does and the landscape will be different for sure. But just like we did with the introduction of the age mandate, mergers, DA, ECNL, NPL, NL, SCCL, State Cup in the ATL and Athena W and Classic 82, we'll adapt, adjust and return to loving the beautiful game...💖💖💖

I think people are sick to death of adapting and adjusting... I think people on here and around the soccer community are just trying to keep up with the ever-changing landscape with youth soccer. They would love to be done with it already so they can go back to enjoying the "little things" like you described.
How many times have we read on here that someone's kid has finally "aged out" of youth soccer and the parent has expressed the joy that they are no longer having to deal with the rat race... chasing all of the continual changes that happen in the youth soccer landscape. All I want, is for the powers to be... to get their shizat together, figure out a clear path, then step out of the way and allow the parents and players to make decisions that are best for them.
It would make enjoying the beautiful game so much easier.

AGREE - "I think people are sick to death of adapting and adjusting"
SCCL was actually a breath of fresh air, kids played to play - back to the roots of why kids play sports. (SCCL pleasantly surprised me)

Nobody wants to accept playing Classic 2/3/4/5. Everyone wants to be #1 and most don’t want to earn it if they’re paying. So long as there are competing leagues it’ll remain opportunists taking money from willing suckers.. and a big mess. Change my mind.

(SCCL pleasantly surprised me) Except that it excluded the unchosen. Please stop.with the "wholesome" SCCL talk. It's just another power/money grab.

It's not perfect but SCCL is mpving in the right direction in terms of logistics, costs and if I'm not mistaken a pseudo pro-rel factor with sccl 1, 2. Not very well versed on sccl but from some of the stuff I hear even with getting AU in the u12 age group. I tip my hats off to them for a decent job in short time. The problem is some people think they will get a fantasy league at the snap of a finger. SCCL is actualy the most stable and realistic league in this moment. ECNL is similar to DA with all the travel and costs.

All the people on the bus laugh at the ones not allowed on. You can say it runs smoother. Dont pretend its wholesome. Graphics are better tho.
