D2 is legit soccer. Top of D2 is comparable to lower D1. And they can offer athletic scholarships.
The answer is NO, the money spent on non-showcase travel is NOT worth it. Unless you get a full-ride... you could save that money and pay half of tuition for a semester at a public college.

Here are some of the signings for Concorde's 2020 grads who were on the 01/02 ECNL Platinum team: Stanford, Notre Dame (x2), Miami (FL), Virginia Tech (x2), Georgia (x2), Clemson, Vanderbilt, Tennessee (x2), Furman I would argue that that is a team made up of pretty much all elite players. Of course CF Platinum teams are generally the top ECNL teams in the SE. I haven't looked, but I would imagine GSA, AFU, and CF Premier singings would not be quite as impressive, but I imagine at least the top half of most of those teams are going to pretty good D1 schools.

D2 is legit soccer. Top of D2 is comparable to lower D1. I would argue the top of D2 is better than 80% of D1, or just below the top of D1 (on the men's side). Top of D2 has a ton of foreign players.

Plus many have better facilities. Take West Georgia - while the actual stadium is nothing to write home about the pitch which is grass is perfect and looks like turf and they have a great locker room complex and weight room.

Looks like a couple new clubs have been added to the DPL. One in Florida and one in Texas. www.dpleague.org/

It would be interesting to see a list of exactly where ECNL girls are committed to by club to see if all the investment in travel soccer is sensical at all. I'd love to see that for all current clubs. We see the club rankings favor ECNL clubs by a wide margin over the the GAL clubs, but how does that translate to individual success? Throw in NL while we're at it. Well.. yeah. Just about 100% to 0. Because GAL didn't exist. Use DA (which is where the majority of GAL clubs came from) and you get a better idea.

The top of D3 is better than a good chunk of both.. because they're generally the best academic schools so they get players who want the education. MIT, U Chicago, Carnegie Mellon, etc.. all D3

That's what I was looking for. To look at last 5 years of success in placing girls in D1-D3 looking at the current ECNL clubs(ECNL+GDA that chose ECNL) and Current GAL clubs(DPL+GDA that chose GAL).
