Question for those in the know in regards to UFA. Will the ECNL teams be based out of the mothership? If so what is the point in my child joining the UFA Norcross premier team in academy level if when he or she cycles up to u-12 then we will have to drive up to Cumming passing AFU and other clubs. I believe a couple of their DA teams practiced at Summerour however I am not sure if all the teams practiced there.

I thought UFA boys DA was Norcross so I figured the boys ECNL would be Norcross/South Forsyth and girls DA would be Fowler? I am still wondering about the NPL or second level teams tho?

Good question, it appears you are new on here but this is an age-old question that has been discussed and debated on here forever. Basically, at the academy age, you should go where you find the best coaching, not what is going to be the best feeder to what is known as a "destination" club. Most top level players eventually head to the destination clubs and a drive will be required if you want to be on a level of ECNL. Each of these has a location that they are based out of: - Concorde is the Central branch
- Tophat is the Buckhead branch
- UFA is the Forsyth branch
I wouldn't drive past other clubs at the academy age if you can find a good coach near by. If UFA-Norcross has it, then stay there. Just know that eventually you may have to sacrifice and drive if you want to be at the top level.

SCCL-P (and beyond) Are there other clubs in the country that field teams in ECNL & NPL? The announcement states that UFA is putting its DA team in ECNL, so that should end any speculation as to whether NPL is on equal footing as ECNL (at least in Georgia).

I expect it to become this: 1. ECNL 2. ECNL Regional League 3. SCCL1-SCCLX

I expect it to become this: 1. ECNL 2. ECNL Regional League 3. SCCL1-SCCLX Assuming this league pyramid plays out which is a simple and easier system for sure ... it will be interesting to see how clubs assign teams or locations to this pyramid since all but AFU locally have had mergers, alliances, or branches. So many teams over so many locations would make club communications so much more important IN ADVANCE so parents can know which league each team plays in and at which location.

(Sorry... couldn’t resist 😜)

The Top Girls team is essentially out of Fowler/Forsyth and the Top Boys team is essentially out of Norcross. I have been calling for UFA to make Norcross the boys center of excellence and Fowler the girls center of excellence...

Now that UFA has both ECNL for boys and girls, why would you place ECNL out of Norcross when Atlanta Fire and GSA are already established in the Gwinnett area and close to Norcross? Seems like Fowler would be more ideal location due to no other clubs in that area that train top teams except for maybe NTH Milton? Just looking at this from a logistic point of view.

I think it's a matter of location and miles traveled for the coaches, aka quality of life. Outside of maybe Coach Sergio(girls) out of Norcross, most of the boys coaches reside or are out of Norcross including the now former boys DA Director. The opposite is the case for the girls teams out of Fowler, as the now former girls DA Director is out of Forsyth along with many of the girls coaches... The other part of your statement brings me to this, if you put everything of worth in one location, why then do you need a satellite location and how do you expect it to survive and thrive? And nope not trying to get into a back n forth, I'm legitimately asking if it is viable to keep the expense and headache of the Norcross location alive...
