Interesting, but not highly unexpected. It is a good club. Does the second team stay in DPL as planned (a newly added club), go to the new Carolina ECRL or something else? Oh the wheels of change...

So for those at TH thinking this is a ray of hope--it's not for a few reasons. First, CSA is a great club (like TH); Second, the Charlotte soccer environment is different than Atlanta. Another ECNL team won't water down talent and the other club Charlotte Independence has no real standing to complain given they were lucky to get into ECNL; Third, Brian Moore heads CSA now and he was very active in ECNL while at CF and is highly regarded and so, unlike TG w TH, there is no one with an ax to grind against Brian or CSA.

This is actually really bad for Tophat as CSA was a potential "new league" partner club. Also hurts DPL as I'm sure CSA will do Carolina Regional League since they are "All In". Only leaves Weston, IMG, and Clay County to partner with. I bet USYS will be glad to give them NL status and it may be their best option at this point. What exactly does "all-in" mean now when there is no DA anymore? The whole point was to say they had gone back and had their best team(s) in ECNL. I don't know that it is 100% that they are in ECRL just because they said "all-in." After all UFA was the newest "all-in" boys club (boys don't have ECRL) in the announcement. Now I suspect that CSA will be in ECRL. It only makes sense. I just don't know what "all-in" is supposed to mean now.
