Figured it was worth while to summarize what we all know, where each DA club landed since the demise of the DA
Boys 1. AFC Lightning - NPL 2. Atlanta United - MLS league, agegroups TBD 3. Concorde - ECNL 4. Lanier - TBD 5. NASA - ECNL 6. SSA - TBD 7. UFA - ECNL
Girls 1. Tophat - TBD 2. UFA - ECNL

Nice. 👍 Thank you.
Would be helpful if you could add whether this is a pre, or post DA demise membership in their listed league.

It all post. It’s where they’ve landed after.

I didn’t think NPL is a stand alone league for top teams at a club? Unless NPL is looking to expand.

from: www.ajc.com/sports/soccer-clubs-georgia-finding-homes-after-collapse/7scQ5lWbEl2oNhKph4a8hL/AFC Lightning Executive Director Steve Muccillo said his club’s DA team will move to the National Premier League. Jonathan Cueva, Director of Coaching for Lanier Soccer Association, is still gathering information, looking for the best fit demographically and geographically. Like others, he said he hasn’t heard from MLS about its new venture. He has set a deadline a May 1 to make a decision where to move his three teams that competed in DA. He described it as the million dollar question.

It all post. It’s where they’ve landed after. Only four will be “landing“ after the fall of DA. I see; the others were in their current league before the fall.

I didn’t think NPL is a stand alone league for top teams at a club? Unless NPL is looking to expand. NPL has been a stand alone league (in this region) for the last two years and is stand alone in many other areas of the country. On the girls side the number of teams has been dwindling with the addition of the Carolinas ECRL and DPL leagues. The boys side remains more robust. Given that only AFC boys were in DA I believe that is what they are talking about...the boys.

Makes me think only a handful of clubs with no where to go will end up in the MLS league fulltime.
Imagine teams like Miami and Seattle - no teams will be near them. Not sure why a mls club would want to have to put 14 year old kids on an airplane every time they have to play a game -- expensive and unnecessary.
If I was in charge I mentioned I would try something like this: 1 weekend you host other teams 1 weekend you travel to another club to play
That is a minimum of 8 travel trips not including generation adidas stuff etc. Still alot, but might not be any more than current DA schedule, 8 trips seems about right.

I thought ecnl was club based, seems to disagree with their long stance. Personally exceptional teams from a single year should be able to gain access to these exclusive leagues, so I agree with the decision, but wish they would offer this to other clubs etc. and impressive map 108 clubs
