What is the largest local soccer club sitting on an island after the most recent us club/SCCL expansion and the demise of DA? Interatlanta? LSA? AFC Lightning?

I believe LSA and AFC will join SCCL thus this leaves the following clubs panicking (this assumes SSA keeps their CF partnership): Inter Atlanta Columbus Red Star (girls mostly) KSA /PPA

I would think you would need a team in every age group to compete in SCCL top flight. Maybe the lower levels they don't need to, but that would screw the 05 girls.

Anyone know what is happening with the Lanier Girls / Tophat Alliance?
Is that still on for next year?
I hate this idea but is Lanier looking to merge with NTH and be the next NTH-Milton?

I'm not sure they have an 07 team on the girls side either. A few years ago almost all their 07 girls left for either AFU or UFA. A couple years ago our third team played their only 07 team and it was a mix of 07 & 08 girls. Maybe things have changed, but I don't think they would be a good fit across all ages for SCCL.

Actually have a very competitive 07 girls team who plays in the GPL and had a chance to qualify for piedmont NL until the spring was essentially cancelled . Correct there was no 04 girls team last year as was not a very competitive group. Some left, some gave up soccer and some are playing up an age bracket.

I would say LSA is on the most remote island.
NPL still exists for AFC, and their 2nd teams and below will likely go to SCCL-P.
Inter still has NL for most age groups and they would be a good candidate for a club-level NL league for their first team.
LSA has a couple NL teams? Maybe they put their non-NL teams into SCCL-P? Is the relationship with NTH on the girls side done?

They lost their best players years ago to Tophat and UFA (around the age mandate time). After that there was a slow trickle and then last year enough girls said they were going to look elsewhere that they would not have been able to field a team so that forced the others to look as well. Several girls ended up at Norcross Premier which was a good fit from what I heard. They may have ended up in last place but did draw 6 of 14 games.

Do we even talk about Rush anymore? Or assume they are dead in the water here?

I think the “merger” between LSA and TH girls was to try and pull players into the program. Unfortunately that failed and their program is slowly going deeper on the girls side. Shame with such a nice complex. Maybe new leadership can build that club up

I don't know if Rush+Chiefs can cobble together many SCCL-level teams on the girls side.
Seriously, are BUSA and VHSC out of SCCL? I don't expect they will want to make 6 trips to Atlanta.

Other then the 05s and 07s they either have Athena A or NL level teams. Plus they both lost a lot of players to SCCL clubs in the last two years who would probably come back. Especially with all the movement expected at NTH Milton, UFA, Concorde and Inter Atlanta. I mean as one parent from that 05G Norcross has said if UFA pulls SCCL from them they’d be on the move and Pinckneyville is only 15 minutes from the Chiefs fields.
